    • I wish I’d been carrying my DSLR to get better shots but I’m still happy with the result from the iPhone. I think the plane was an A380. It was very large though of course you can’t tell from the scale of this. Sometimes getting a certain photograph depends on a magical moment.

  1. Is it bad that the second one took me back to 9/11? It’s still raw in my memory after the 10th anniversary. Isn’t it sad that a picture of a plane can evoke such horrible thoughts.

Lucikily your last photo snapped me out of it.There’s nothing like flying through clouds. Beautiful photo!

    • Oh, I’m sorry about that, Penny, but I don’t think you’d be the only one feeling that way at times. I get that tinge if I see planes flying low over the city buildings but not usually in more open places. Glad the last one lifted your thoughts above that.

    • Thanks, Trish. I love the title too. I like these sort of photos of planes because of their symbolism – travel and adventure – and the memories they evoke of my past travels.

    • My whole life has included travel and/or mingling with many cultures through friendship and work. I, myself, am a child of parents from two very different cultures. It’s such a huge part of my life. I hope you get the chance one day. You might find some great new subjects to photograph too!
