Remembering both of my pregnancies this week in the lead up to the birth of Miss T 3 years and Lil S 1 year ago. Happy birthdays my darlings.
End of 1st trimester approximately September 2008 and 2010
.
In the 2nd trimester approximately November 2008 and 2010
.
In the 3rd trimester approximately January 2009 and 2011. HUGE!
.
Two weeks old approximately mid March 2009 and 2011. I can barely believe they were ever that little.

This is fantastic! So a great thing to do. You are so beautiful. x
Posted by Kelly | 7 March 2012, 8:19 amThanks, Kel. I knew I wanted to do photos like this before I fell pregnant. I’m glad I did even though we never did any professional shots.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 3:52 pmVeronica!!! You epitomized the glowey dewy pregnant woman…Such gorgeous photos.
Thanks for sharing and Happy BDay to your lil girls x
Posted by Kirri White | 7 March 2012, 8:38 amThanks, Kirri. I wanted to take photos to remember of being pregnant, cheesy or not. And thanks for the birthday wishes. Hope yours had fun too.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 3:53 pmFantastic pics! I love them side by side – what a great idea!
Posted by MsMandie | 7 March 2012, 9:11 amThanks, Mandie. I thought it was interesting to compare the months side by side. I only showcased those few here but I pretty much have one for every month.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:06 pmSuch a sweet set of pictures! love love them!!
didn’t understand why you had 1 finger up for the first pic for second tri though…
happy belated bday again to the special girls with a very special mummy

Posted by Ai Sakura | 7 March 2012, 9:57 amThanks, Ai. I can’t actually recall what I was doing with my fingers. I think I was trying to show 1 month or 1 trimester but it all got a bit complicated.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:07 pmYou are gorgeous, I love how you took them similarly.
Posted by Nicole | 7 March 2012, 12:00 pmThanks, Nicole. I deliberately wanted the record and am glad I have them. I know some people have no photos of themselves when they were pregnant. Something about being fat, I think????
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:08 pmGorgeous shots ! Happy birthday to your beautiful girls xxx
Posted by Grace | 7 March 2012, 12:51 pmThanks, Grace.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:09 pmFantastic to see the changes and the differences and the gorgeous little ones at the end.
Posted by tiff | 7 March 2012, 1:36 pmI am so pleased I made the effort to capture these memories, Tiff. I didn’t do a professional shoot but I think these are just as special, especially when I line up al the months together. I just posted a snapshot.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:10 pmBeautiful memories!
Posted by Me 'N my Monkeys! | 7 March 2012, 3:27 pmThey are indeed, Jane. And I’m so pleased I have the pictures to support them!

Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:11 pmLovely memories! (Not always so fun when you are in the middle of it)
Posted by Tat | 7 March 2012, 8:25 pmLovely memories indeed, Tat. I must say my experience of pregnancy both times wasn’t too bad but each did have its own challenges.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:12 pmGreat photos! I must admit, when I saw your title, I thought you were referring to another pregnancy!
Posted by Julie | 7 March 2012, 8:25 pmHa Ha! No Julie, I think we’re done at my age especially!
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:12 pmNaww!!! You were a gorgeous pregnant woman!
Posted by Becky from BeckyandJames.com | 7 March 2012, 9:02 pmThanks, Becky. Hope I’m still gorgeous not pregnant!
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:13 pmwhat fabulous photos!! I took the same type of photos.. but not at the same time.. wish I thought of that!!
fabulous memories!!!
Posted by Yvette @ DTlilsquirts | 7 March 2012, 10:37 pmI liked how one person did a time lapse movie of all their photos. It was amazing to watch, Yvette. I don’t think I’ve enough shots to attempt that. I am happy I have them in a way I can compare. It was quite interesting seeing the similarities and differences.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:14 pmBeautiful Veronica. Just beautiful!!! You made me teary
Posted by Fiona @ My Mummy Daze | 7 March 2012, 10:40 pmThanks, Fiona. I hope the tears were good memories for you.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 7:38 pmI love these pictures…so cute with the picture of your eldest holding on to your legs.
Posted by Bicultural Mama | 8 March 2012, 3:06 amAs the pregnancy went and and Miss T was getting older, she wanted in on the photo action much more. Sometimes it was quite a challenge but I’m glad to have her in the shots too. I have one of her touching my belly as well. Nothing swish and professional but still good memories for us.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:15 pmOh what treasures! Gorgeous idea, gorgeous photos
Posted by Clancy | 8 March 2012, 4:27 amThanks, Clancy.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:18 pmSuch a great idea for a post. I might steal for a post later in the year…
Love the little photo bomber! And I love the mint bonds suits, so, so gorgeous.
Gorgeous photos Veronica.
Posted by Lee | 10 March 2012, 10:57 pmThanks, Lee. By all means, borrow the idea. I’d love to see your version when you do it.
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:19 pmOh they are so gorgeous! I love how you have photos side by side for two different pregnancies but for the same time frame.
What a great idea! They grow so fast
Posted by Lisa Wood | 13 March 2012, 2:32 pmThanks, Lisa. I took a photo for almost every month (early ones were hard since there was nothing to show for about 13 weeks). It is interesting to see how big I got too only to birth little bubs!
Posted by Mixed Gems | 14 March 2012, 4:21 pmLoved these, Veronica. You are such a beautiful woman and your photos reflect how much pregnancy suited you.
I love your ’2 week’ photos especially. THAT is what a real woman looks like 2 weeks post-partum without photoshop! x
Posted by Bron Maxabella | 15 March 2012, 11:08 amThanks for your lovely words, Bron. It took us an awfully long time to get pregnant so I wanted to make sure I recorded it. I suppose having a morning-sickness free pregnancy helped, though I had other little complications. I must say, I felt most comfortable in my skin whilst I was pregnant. That may well be why I “glowed”.
