You just reminded me that I haven’t posted my latest photos to instagram!
Great photos, I want that red front door!
Sadly, the red door is not mine, Amy. It’s from one of the old terraces in my local area, probably well over a hundred years old.
I am trying to convince my husband to paint our front door red, or bright blue or similar… Will have to show him that picture!
Was he convinced, Julie?
As always great photos Veronica
beautiful earrings! And, like others I am a little bit in love with your red front door
Thanks, Lyndal. The earrings were a gift and they are gorgeous. As to the door, it is lovely but I can’t take the credit. It’s the front door of an old terrace in my local area. It’s most likely well over a hundred years old. Thanks for dropping by.
The Photo challenge is so much fun and you have captured gorgeous pics…. I love your self portrait!! (you should frame it!!)
Thanks, Jane. The idea for the self-portrait was actually a bit of a fluke shot but then I worked on the concept from there and am pleased which how it came out.
Oooh, i love your self portrait. Love it.
Thanks, Tiff. The self-portrait concept was a bit of a fluke shot but when I saw the light and composition I worked on it the best I could and am pretty happy with the final product. Photography is a lot of trial and error sometimes, so I’ve learnt.
How exactly do you manage to take photo of a door and make it look like a work of art?
Ha, ha! I don’t have a clue. I just liked what I saw and worked on the crop and took it from there. Thanks for the compliment, I think?
I failed miserably at the Jan photo a day so I have given up for now! Love your hands!!
Thanks, Nicole. There is a March photo-a-day coming up with Fat Mum Slim too. It’s not too late!
Ooo I missed your blue earrings. Those are so lovely
Ai @ Sakura Haruka
Thanks, Ai. The blue earrings were a gift and very lovely too. They catch and reflect light so beautifully.
I’ll go and find you on there
I’m loving this project
My user name is sapa
Glad we’ve connected on Instagram now, Ally. You have some lovely shots. I hope you are in for March!
Fabulous photos. I am doing a photo a day too. Must get around to posting them on my blog
Do post them, Tamara. Are you on Instagram? You could post them there too. Will you be in for March?
I love your photos on Instagram. You always take the most gorgeous shots. i especially love the selfie of you, that’s a framer
Thanks, Sonia. The concept for my self-portrait was a fluke but I loved what I saw and worked on it from there. For me, that’s part of the fun and creativity in photography.
what fabulous photos!! I love the self portrait! So insightful!
Thanks, Yvette. I’m pretty pleased, if I may say so, with what I created for the self-portrait too. I say this mostly because the initial concept was a mere fluke shot before I worked on it to get the final image. Without the fluke, I was a bit clueless where to take the self-portrait!
I remember thinking, “Wow!” when I saw that red door on Instagram.
But I also love those earrings. They’re exquisite ! x
The beautiful earrings were a gift from a friend. As to the red door, Grace, I cannot claim any credit other than for the picture. It’s sadly not mine. I wish!
